GENERAL OVERVIEW

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my companies, which I direct and operate, and myself: Mac Nine Company, Mac R. McDonald, Inc, Cambrian Development, LLC, and Cin-Mac Properties, LLC.  Mac R. McDonald, Inc was established in 1979.  Our primary focus was residential construction and some light commercial projects.  Preceding the development of my company I purchased my first undeveloped 50 acre parcel of land which I rezoned, subdivided, and sold as single family home sites in 1978.  From 1979 to 1985 I sold single family homes and worked on some church projects as well as multi-unit family homes in central Wisconsin. 

From 1985 to 1995 I hired my services out as a project superintendent.  Some of the projects I was awarded and completed during this time were:  the Lake Delton Municipal Building, NASCO Industrial Manufacturing and office expansion, theatres, banking facilities, Religious education facilities such as the Abundant Life Christian School, Trinity Lutheran Church, and Holy Family Catholic Church.  I have also completed numerous multi-family housing projects in Waukesha, Dodgeville, and Prairie du Chien in Wisconsin.

In 1996 Mac R. McDonald, Inc received work in the Wisconsin Dells area as a General Contractor for large Hotels, Water parks, restaurants, bars, convenient stores, and a few high end single-family homes. 

In 2001 I developed and designed a multi-family condominium complex, Mikasa Towers.  I formed the development team and presented these projects to the municipality where I proposed to build them and was granted TIF funding for the project based on the improved value to the city.  In 2003 I purchased 32 acres of land and subsequently developed a 38 parcel subdivision, Arbor Valley, by rezoning the land and development of the infrastructure for the subdivision.  In 2004 I designed and developed another multi-family condominium complex, Trevor Ridge.

In 2005 I was brought on as the co-owner and managing member of Cambrian Development, LLC which is the development company for the Grand Cambrian Resort to be built in the Wisconsin Dells.   The project was underway for three years prior to my involvement.  The owner and developer at the time were unable to attain successful project plans and design.  That is when my company and I were contacted to create a successful project.  During the past two years I have effectively obtained annexation into the city of Wisconsin Dells.  I have also been granted $9.5 Million dollars in Tax incentive funds from the Wisconsin Dells municipality based upon my designs and plans for the resort that addresses the integrity of the environment and increases the tax base for the city.  My duty as managing member of Cambrian Development, LLC  is to hire and select an effective development team for the project such as Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, and Attorneys which all work under my direction in order to gain the proper permits for the project to move forward as well as assist in implementation and execution of my own design, style, and atmosphere of the complex.  I have also coordinated procurement of development loans.  The Grand Cambrian Resort is a $170 Million dollar, four year project consisting of 48 condominium home sites, over 500 condo-hotel style units starting at $380,000.00, restaurants, banquet facilities, a water park, and I have also designed the waterfalls to be incorporated into the Grand Cambrian Resort.   

I have over 31 years of experience in construction industry and employ my own crew of knowledgeable carpenters.  The combined construction experience of my field, my staff, and me far exceed 100 years. Once again, I would like to thank you for your time in reviewing my company and portfolio.
